Oil Tank Bottom MFL Inspection

Oil tank bottom MFL inspection  is  carried out with the use of  the  high accuracy magnetic scanners KORMAG, designed and built by CDRiA.  
 
The main purpose of the MFL inspection is to detect, size  and prioritize  defects of storage tank floors (corrosions, cracks, etc.).   
 
The inspection survey is conducted by CDRiA  in 3 following stages:
 

  • Activities prior to MFL inspection - preparation of digital map of the tank bottom, making of the Inspection Plan
  • MFL inspection (KORMAG tools) - magnetic scanning of the tank bottom surface according to the Inspection Plan, online measurement data evaluation and  presentation,  Field Reports  generation   
  • MFL Inspection Reporting  Preparation of the Final Report, which includes detail description of the detected faults and repair suggestions
