| KORMAG tool is a multichannel magnetic scanner which uses the MFL (Magnetic Flux Leakage) technology to detect metal losses and crack-like features in low-carbon steel plates.
The KORMAG tool’s main functional elements are: - permanent magnets units (to magnetize a steel structure),
- Hall sensors units (to scan examined structure and detect magnetic flux leakages)
- drive electronics (to control the measurement process),
During the inspection measured data are processed on-line, analysed and displayed on the computer connected to the Kormag tool. The dedicated software locates and sizes defects found in the tank floor bottom. |
